Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP)

The Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP) is a European subsidy programme designed to encourage innovation and competitiveness. This programme is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe. The CIP consists of three components:

• Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (EIP): aimed at innovation and SMEs;
• Information Communication Technologies Policy Support Programme (ICT PSP): aimed at European cooperation in ICT applications;
• Intelligent Energy-Europe Programme (IEE II): aimed at non-technological energy projects;
• Eco-innovation: aimed at reducing environmental impacts.
