Furniture, toys and playground equipment

On this page you find rules and regulations regarding furniture, toys and playground equipment. The furniture, toys and playground equipment at your childcare organisation must be safe to use. Accordingly, they must meet the requirements laid down in the Commodities Act (Warenwet). If you are assembling or installing an amusement machine for the first time, you must notify the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (Nederlandse Voedsel en Waren Autoriteit, NVWA) accordingly. If you transport children, you must comply with the Child Restraint System Regulations (Regeling kinderbeveiligingsmiddelen).
