Certificate of good conduct for legal entities (VOGrp)
Companies in the Netherlands can use a certificate of good conduct for legal entities (Verklaring omtrent het gedrag rechtspersonen, VOGrp) to demonstrate their integrity to government agencies, partners and other businesses. This document may be required, for instance, as part of a tendering procedure, when entering into a contract or when applying to become a member of a sector organisation.
The VOGrp application must be submitted by a representative of the legal entity to the Central Agency for Certificates of Good Conduct (Centraal Orgaan Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag, COVOG). The COVOG is part of the Justis Department of the Ministry of Security and Justice.
Self-employed workers without employees
The VOGrp certificate is not meant for self-employed workers without employees (zzp’ers), who must apply for a certificate of good conduct for individuals (Verklaring omtrent het gedrag natuurlijke persoon, VOGnp) from their local municipality.
Online application procedure via Message Box
If you require a Certificate of Good Conduct for a procedure that is subject to the Services Act, you can apply for this document to the Justis Department of the Ministry of Security and Justice (Dienst Justis) also online via Message Box.
