Veterinary laboratory

If you run a veterinary laboratory in the Netherlands and you intend to use certain test methods, this laboratory must have been certified by the Minister of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation (EL&I) and by the Dutch Accreditation Council (Raad voor Accreditatie, RvA). You can apply for the certification at the Client Contact and Service Department (KCDV) of the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA).

Your laboratory must cooperate in the periodic monitoring carried out by the CVI. In addition, your laboratory must submit monthly reports to the National Service for the Implementation of Regulations (Dienst Regelingen, DR) and quarterly reports to the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (Nederlandse Voedsel en Waren Autoriteit, NVWA) on the analyses performed and on the results of these analyses.

Online application procedure via Message Box

You can apply online for recognition of your veterinary laboratory at the Central Veterinary Institute using Message Box.
