Street trader’s licence

In some municipalities in the Netherlands, you need a street trader’s licence if you intend to sell goods or offer your services door to door. In other municipalities, filing a notification will suffice. The conditions attached to a street trader’s licence or to a notification can differ depending on the municipality. The application period, costs and period of validity of the licence also differ according to municipality.

Please note
If you sell a product or offer a service for more than €34, you must comply with the rules on door-to-door selling.

Online application or notification procedure via Message Box

You can apply for a street trader’s licence or file the notification also online via Message Box.
