Solvent management plan

For certain industrial activities, you must prepare an annual solvent management plan if your use of solvents exceeds a threshold value laid down in the Solvents Decree (Oplosmiddelenbesluit). This applies to such activities as:

  • Shoe manufacturing
  • Wood lamination and synthetic materials
  • Chemical cleaning
  • Coating vehicles
  • Coating and impregnating wood
  • Coating leather
  • Rubber processing

You must draw up a separate plan for each activity.

Please note: If you must prepare an annual environmental report (MJV) as well, it is easier if the solvent management plan is based on a calendar year. You can also use the e-MJV database to prepare the solvent management plan.
