Registration of waste transporters, collectors, dealers and brokers (VIHB)
If you act as a collector, transporter, dealer or broker in respect of industrial or hazardous waste, you must register with the National and International Road Transport Organisation (NIWO). You will be included in the national list of transporters, collectors, dealers and brokers (VIHB list).
Requirements
Registration is only possible if you satisfy the requirements with regard to reliability, creditworthiness and professional competence. You need a certificate of good conduct from your local municipality and a certificate of professional competence from the Central Office for Motor Vehicle Driver Testing (CBR). If you are from the EEA (i.e. the EU plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein), you can also submit a certificate of competence issued by the competent authority of your country.
Community licence or Euro licence
If you hold a community licence or a Euro licence, you already meet the criteria for inclusion on the VIHB list. In that case, you do not need to submit a separate certificate of competence, but you still need te register with the NIWO.
Access to the VIHB list
The VIHB list is accessible to the public. If you wish to find a recognised transporter, collector, dealer or broker of business waste or hazardous waste chemicals, you can consult the list on the NIWO website.
