Registration of private deeds

In order to prove that you possessed specific knowledge by a given date, you can have drawings, prototypes or photos registered at a number of tax offices, a civil-law notary or the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property (BOIP). This ‘registration of private deeds’ will help you demonstrate, for example, that you were already using an invention commercially before you applied for a patent.
