Rates of independent professionals working in the care sector

The Dutch Health Care Authority (Nederlandse Zorgautoriteit, NZa) has established maximum rates, which apply to the various independent professionals working in the care sector, including:

  • Speech therapists
  • Dental surgeons
  • Orthodontists
  • Psychiatrists

As regards GPs, both unrestricted rates and fixed rates apply, depending on the type of treatment. Physiotherapists, remedial therapists and psychotherapists set their rates in consultation with care insurance providers.
