Permission to erect signs at the side of public roads

If you want to erect a sign at the side of a public road, for instance in order to announce events or to show the way to your camping site or catering establishment, you will need permission from the municipal or provincial authority. You must satisfy a number of conditions relating to:

  • opening hours;
  • visitor numbers;
  • type of road;
  • distance to the road;
  • (touristic) signposting.
