Object permit

If you wish to place an object such as a crane, scaffold or site hut temporarily on a public road in the Netherlands, in most municipalities you will require a permit. In some cases, notifying the municipality is sufficient.

The permit you need is the All-in-one Permit for Physical Aspects (omgevingsvergunning). This permit was referred to as an ‘object permit’ (objectvergunning) until 1 October 2010. You can obtain the permit from your local municipal authority. More information about how to apply can be found on the 'All-in-one Permit for Physical Aspects' page.
