Living and working environment bye-laws

A living and working environment bye-law may apply in certain areas within a Dutch municipality. The aim of such bye-laws is to protect the quality of the living and working environment in the area. You need to apply for dispensation from the living and working environment bye-law if you wish to use a building as a:

  • catering building;
  • office building;
  • coffee house;
  • sex establishment;
  • non-residential building;
  • retail building.
