Invitation letter for visa application of business partner
If your company is based in the Netherlands and you intend to host a business partner from abroad, your partner may have to apply for a visa from the Dutch embassy or consulate. Your business partner’s nationality and the duration of the visit will determine whether this obligation applies. The visa will permit unrestricted travel in all countries implementing the Schengen Agreement.
Invitation letter
Depending on the specific circumstances in your business partner’s country, the Dutch government may request an invitation letter for your guest. For visits shorter than three months, you must submit this letter to the Dutch embassy or consulate in your business partner’s country. The websites of these organisations often provide information about the contents of the letter. Different rules and regulations govern visits longer than three months. These are set out on the website of the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND).
Visiting the Netherlands on business
If you live in another country and will be visiting the Netherlands on business, you may be required to have a visa. If you require an invitation letter for the visa, you can request your business partner to submit one to the Dutch embassy or consulate in your country. For further information, please contact the Dutch embassy or consulate in your country or the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND).
