Industry board or product board
Industry boards and product boards promote the collective interests of companies in a particular sector. They also set rules for those companies.
Membership and contribution
If you run a company in the Netherlands in a sector with an industry board or product board, your company must be a member of that board. You must pay a contribution and comply with the board’s rules.
If you register in the Trade Register, registration with the industry or product board will often follow automatically. You may still have to register at a few industry and product boards. Your company may come under several different boards.
Cessation of business
If your business ceases trading, send a copy of your deregistration from the Trade Register to the product or industry board where you business is registered.
