Inclusion in and consultation of accountants’ registers

If you intend to work as a chartered accountant (registeraccountant, RA) or an accounting consultant (accountant-administratieconsulent, AA) in the Netherlands, you must be on the register of accountants maintained by the Netherlands Institute of Registered Accountants (Nederlandse Beroepsorganisatie van Accountants, NBA). Chartered accountants must meet certain training requirements in order to be eligible for inclusion in the register.  In addition, they must observe the RA code of conduct.  Accounting consultants must first apply for a certificate of professional competence in order to be included.

Consultation of accountants’ registers

If you are looking for a registered chartered accountant or accounting consultant, you can consult the accountants' registers on the NBA website.

Online registration procedure via Message Box

You can submit requests to be listed in the register of accountants kept by NBA via Message Box. The request procedure will then be conducted online. Please submit enquiries about inclusion in these registers via Message Box.
