Import and export of strategic goods and services

The import, export and transit of strategic goods (military goods and dual-use goods) and strategic services is subject to many rules. In many cases, you require a licence from the Central Import and Export Office (Centrale Dienst voor In- en Uitvoer, CDIU) or you must submit a notification.
Sanctions apply to certain countries. You may, for example, not export any military goods to countries where a war is raging.
