Recording an idea, concept or prototype (i-DEPOT)

You can record an idea at an early stage in your innovation process by submitting an i-DEPOT to the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property (BOIP). This prevents someone else from stealing your idea because an i-DEPOT allows you to prove that a given idea already existed on a given day. An i-DEPOT may be an important first step in the lead-up to applying for a brand, model or patent.
