General terms and conditions

In the general terms and conditions, you state the rules that you want to apply in the contract with the buyer of your product or service, including, for example, provisions governing payment, delivery times, guarantees and disputes.

Sector organisations often have their own general terms and conditions, which you can also use for your company. The Dutch Chamber of Commerce (Kamer van Koophandel) has also drawn up specimen terms and conditions in Dutch.

Duty of disclosure

If you wish to apply general terms and conditions, you must inform the buyer of your product or service before you enter into a contract.

Deliveries to the Dutch national government

Deliveries to the Dutch national government are subject to the General Government Terms and Conditions for Public Service Contracts (Algemene Rijksvoorwaarden voor het verstrekken van opdrachten tot het verrichten van diensten, ARVODI-2011) and the General Conditions for Government Purchasing (Algemene Rijksinkoopvoorwaarden, ARIV-2008).
