Designs and models law

The designs and models law makes arrangements for the protection of designs and models of products in the Benelux. After payment, you can have your product model or design registered with the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property (BOIP). Your product will then be protected in the Benelux under designs and models law. The product must involve a new model or a new design.

In return for payment, the BOIP can check in the register whether a particular model has already been registered and published. The BOIP can also provide information about the protection of your design or model outside the Benelux.
