Business File

If you operate a business in the Netherlands, you must comply with Dutch government rules and regulations. For this purpose, you can use the Business File (Ondernemingsdossier). Via the Business File, you make a once-only submission of certain business information for inspection by authorities such as supervisory bodies and licensing authorities. You keep this information up-to-date as needed and authorise certain authorities to view the information. This way, they always have up-to-date information.

Step-by-step implementation per sector organisation

The Business File (Ondernemingsdossier) is being implemented step-by-step, via the sector organisations. Within these organisations, entrepreneurs/business owners and authorities make arrangements with each other on how and what information they want to exchange. These arrangements are laid down in a cooperation agreement. Then, the organisations make the Business File available to the entrepreneurs and business owners. The Business File will first be implemented in the sectors of leisure, rubber and plastics, and catering.
