Blood samples for testing for pig diseases

If you keep more than 30 pigs weighing more than 25 kilos, you are required to have blood samples tested every four months for Swine Vesicular Disease (SVD), Aujeszky’s Disease (AD) and salmonella. Each time, you must have three samples tested for SVD and AD and 12 samples for salmonella. The testing should be done by a laboratory certified by the Product Board for Livestock and Meat (PVV). This is one of the boards of the Product Boards for Livestock, Meat and Eggs (PVE).
