UWV voluntary insurances

If you start a company in the Netherlands, you may be eligible for a voluntary insurance at the Institute for Employee Benefit Schemes (Uitvoeringsinstituut Werknemersverzekeringen, UWV). This will provide income insurance should you become ill, incapacitated for work or pregnant. You must have been insured in a compulsory manner the preceding year for being ill and incapacitated for work.
