Version history

18 December 2011

  • Users can place a portlet on the Entrepreneur Platform of Answers for Business. This portlet allows them to see whether their Message Box still contains unread messages.
  • Competent authorities receiving an electronically signed document can have this validated at the Validation Department.

28 August 2011

  • An entrepreneur who has created a Message Box using the AvB authentication tool can switch to an EID token for the same Message Box.
  • If an entrepreneur logs in using an EID token, authorised bodies can see the reliability level and Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number in the message.
  • Authorised bodies with a digital link interface (digikoppeling-koppelvlak) can send large numbers of messages more easily.

28 November 2010

  • Users can create a Message Box by means of an EID token. For each KvK number a single Message Box can be created.
  • If a Message Box is created by means of an Answers for Business user account, a main user can transfer his status to someone else.
  • Authorised bodies can connect their Message Box to their back-office systems through a digital link interface.
  • If authorised bodies merge then they can also merge their Message Boxes.

21 July 2010

Message Box is now styled according to the official corporate identity of the Dutch government. This means a new color, a new design and a new logo. Functionalities and structure have not been changed.

The corporate identity provides a recognizable, accessible and univocal presentation of the Dutch government.

28 March 2010

  • Users can create directories. Note: It is not possible to create subdirectories.
  • Multiple users can be logged in simultaneously to the same messages box if each user has his/her own login account and is an authorised user of the messages box in question.
  • Users can create a custom signature (i.e. text added at the end of a message), which includes, for instance, the organisation’s name and general contact information. Note: Only one custom signature is possible for each messages box, regardless of who is logged in to the account. The text can be changed in the message.
  • Users can mark messages as “read” or “unread”.
  • Users can save messages as drafts.
  • On the Settings (Instellingen) page, users can enter multiple e-mail addresses so that emails can be sent to multiple recipients to notify them that a new message has been received in the messages box.
  • Text message (SMS) notification is no longer an option.
