eRecognition
What is eRecognition?
The digital provision of government services to businesses must be improved. Businesses want the ability to procure government services electronically by user-friendly means. The government wants the ability to establish which employee procures a government service on behalf of a business and whether this person is authorised to do so.
The 'Network for eRecognition' offers the solution. This network is being shaped (as far as possible) by parties that are or want to become active on the eRecognition market. Agreements must be made to ensure that the network will operate successfully. Pursuant to the requirements and wishes of government agencies, businesses make agreements that constitute the basis for the business' eRecognition network. The agreements made are laid down in an eRecognition Agreements System.
What is an e-Identity (EID) token?
Your business can use an e-Identity (EID) token (such as a username/password, text message (SMS), bank card, telephone, one-time password (OTP), token or PKI certificate) to identify itself digitally to government agencies. When applying for an EID token from a recognised service provider that is connected to the eRecognition network, you can authorise one or more persons to conduct digital transactions with the government on behalf of your business.
What is the best EID token for me?
This choice depends on your business, taking into account factors such as the desired assurance level and the costs. Please contact one of the recognised service providers for more details.
What assurance levels are there?
eRecognition distinguishes between 4 assurance levels of EID tokens:
- minimum reliability
- reasonable reliability without physical appearance
- reasonable reliability with physical appearance
- very high reliability
In order to create a Message Box, you need at least assurance level 2. This may be different for other government services.
