Creating a Message Box
How do I create a Message Box?
The creation process consists of a number of steps:
-
You decide whether you wish to create your Message Box with an Answers for Business user account or by means of an e-Identifier.
- If you do not have an e-Identifier yet, you must buy one first.
- If you opt for a personal user account, you must specify your name, e-mail address and mobile telephone number. Answers for Business needs these details in case you forget your password or username.
- You register your business by entering the name of your business. This name will be visible to the government agencies with which you exchange messages.
- You create a Message Box for your business by using either your user account or your e-Identifier. You enter the desired Message Box name. This name will also be visible to the government agencies with which you exchange messages.
Where can I obtain an e-Identifier?
If you do not have an e-Identifier yet, you can buy one from various recognised providers.
Is an Answers for Business user account subject to special requirements?
Your username is not subject to special requirements. Choose a username which is easy to remember.
Your password must be 8 to 32 characters long and must contain at least one letter, one number and one special character (e.g. hyphen, underscore or asterisk).
How do I choose a Message Box name?
Your Message Box name must not contain any spaces or capitals. Furthermore, a Message Box name must be unique. If the name you want is already in use, a notification will appear and you can think of a different name. We recommend that you choose a name that is the same as or similar to that of your business.
Will my Message Box account remain active if I do not use it?
Yes. Once created, a Message Box account will remain active.
