Importing
If you import goods into the Netherlands, you must comply with various rules and laws. You must apply for an import licence for certain goods, for example. Besides you must notify Dutch Customs of goods imported from outside the EU. Dutch Customs checks whether importers observe the rules and regulations with respect to safety, health, the economy and the environment.
