About Answers for Business
Answers for Business helps businesses to navigate the tremendous amount of information provided by the Dutch government. At a glance, you can see which laws, rules/regulations, licences and taxes apply to you. It also indicates which subsidies you may be eligible for.
Specifically for your sector
In addition to government rules that apply to all businesses, our website also presents information about the rules and regulations which apply specifically to your sector. We try to always answer your question, whether your business is in the construction, hotel and catering, retail or services sector. We also provide the addresses of the main Dutch sector organisations. If you don’t know which sector you are in, you can find the sector by searching through the alphabetical business list.
Cooperating with the public sector
As part of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Answers for Business works closely with the entire Dutch public sector, including Ministries, municipal authorities, provincial authorities and water boards. Answers for Business includes links to the websites of these organisations. We prefer to refer you to the English-language versions of these sites. If there is no English-language version, you will be referred to the page where the organisation’s contact information is indicated. NB: each individual government organisation is solely responsible for the information it provides.
